An Introduction
to Egg Decoration However, many people immediately think of Fabergé when discussing decorated eggs. What many people do not realise is that Peter Carl Fabergé did not use real egg shells. His skills were those of an artist jeweller/ enameller and he created his designs from precious metals and stones. Yet it is the Fabergé style which much of modern egg decoration takes inspiration from. Today we use real egg shell, usually from goose, rhea, emu and ostrich eggs, and cut and decorate them with a range of materials taken from, and inspired by, a range of different crafts. Our online shop provides one of the most extensive ranges of eggcrafting materials, supplying you with all you need to create your own decorated eggs. : |
